Real. Texas. Fare.
Craft Vendors
The Real. Texas. Marketplace. presented by Holiday Inn Express will again feature a display of juried crafters and artisans who are truly Texan. The festival will create a truly “Made in Texas” feel to celebrate the unique flavor of Texas artisans. It is bound to be a shopper’s haven.
A third day – Sunday afternoon – has been added to the festival for 2008. And, the venue is being expanded for 2008 to accommodate more crafters and artisans.
There are three vendor categories at the Real. Texas. Festival.:
- Non-profit – must hold a 501c3 status within the city limits of Mesquite;
- Artisan – must display and/or sell original work created, manufactured or generated by the artisan or craftsman; and
- Business -- Product is not hand-crafted, also includes commercial businesses, home-based businesses and professional services.
One of the extra benefits of having a craft, artisan or commercial display booth at the Real. Texas. Festival. presented by Dodge is all booth workers and managers are able to access our Vendor/Volunteer Hospitality Suite, located just inside the front hall lobby of the Mesquite Exhibition Center.
The suite allows for booth workers to take a break, have a light snack and get something to drink.

Food Vendors
What would a festival be without food – lots of it.
In 2008, we hope to expand our concessionaire’s group from 10 to perhaps 15. Sunday afternoon, the festival will take on more of a fiesta theme as we reach out to the ever-growing Hispanic segment of our population.
To that end, we are waiving category concessionaire exclusivity on Mexican food. Returning and new concessionaires could add Mexican food items to their present menus if they so choose.
And, our concessionaires are also able to access the Vendor/Volunteer Hospitality Suite.
In 2007, the Real. Texas. Flavor. Food Court was presented by NYPD Pizza and featured everything from corn dogs and funnel cakes to New York style pizza.
