The Brazos River Gunslingers
The Brazos River Gunslingers will perform five shows on Friday and Saturday of the festival – April 25 and 26.
The group consists of six to 12 men and women performers dressed in authentic 1880’s clothing with replica props.
The group performs gun-fighting skits that are great entertainment for the entire family. At the beginning of every skit, the group always conducts seminars on the importance of gun safety, and brings with it a miniature set depicting an old West town.
The town buildings include an 1800s jail replica -- fully functional for unsurpassed entertainment.
The “outhouse” often travels with the jail adding even more fun to the performances.
Between shows, the gunslingers “run the jail.” This activity consists of extracting participation from the audience to have their friends, family and public officials “arrested” for the fee of $2 or more for high profile individuals.
Arrested individuals must pay an additional $2 (or matching) fee to be released.
The Brazos River Gunslingers are an award winning old west re-enactment group -- winning 1st place at Wyatt Earp Days in Tombstone, Ariz.
The group has performed all over Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Kansas and Arizona.
